The Prime Minister of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam, Mr. V. Rudrakumaran, has expressed concern over the lack of the important component of natural justice, namely the opportunity for both sides to be heard, in the present Tribunal in India to examine the ban on the LTTE. 'We respectfully request the Indian Government to ensure conditions are conducive to the LTTE members to present their case' he said.

The full text of the statement is as follows:
It has been brought to the attention of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam that the current Tribunal to examine the renewal of the ban of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in India is flawed.

An important component of natural justice and the integrity of any judicial or quasi-judicial proceedings is audi alteram partem (both sides to be heard). Thus we respectfully request the Indian Government to ensure that conditions are made conducive for the LTTE members to present their case. We call upon the Indian Government that it should do all it can to dispel the fear that any member of the LTTE who came forward to present their case will be subject to deportation to Sri Lanka or be subject to extra judicial punishment.

'The transnational community of Eelam Tamils living in all parts of the world are looking up to India for justice and fairness at this important juncture of our continuing struggle for freedom with justice in our own land' Mr Rudrakaumaran added.

நாடுகடந்த தமிழீழ அரசாங்கத்தின் பிரதமர் திரு. வி. ருத்திரகுமாரன் அவர்கள் இந்தியாவில் தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள் மீதான தடையையொட்டி தற்போது நடைபெற்றுவரும் விசாரணை அமர்வில் இருபக்கங்களின் நியாயங்களும் கேட்டறிவதற்கான வாய்ப்பு இல்லாத தன்மைபற்றி தனது அக்கறையைத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். அவர் மேலும் கூறுகையில் 'தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள் இயக்க உறுப்பினர்கள் தமது வாதத்தை முன்வைப்பதற்கான சூழ்நிலையை உருவாக்கவேண்டுமென இந்திய அரசாங்கத்திடம் மரியாதையுடன் வேண்டிக் கொள்கிறோம' என்றார்.

அவரது முழுமையான கூற்று பின்வருமாறு:

இந்தியாவில் தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள் மீதான தடையினைப் புதுப்பிப்பது தொடர்பாக தற்போது நடைபெற்று வரும் விசாரணை அமர்வானது தவறுகள் கொண்டதென நாடுகடந்த தமிழீழ அரசாங்கத்திற்குத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

எந்த ஒரு நீதிசார் நடைமுறையிலும் இருதரப்பினரையும் கேட்கும ; வாய்ப்பு என்பது இயல்பான நீதியோடும், நியாயத்தன்மையோடும் இணைந்த அம்சமாகும். எனவே தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள் இயக்க உறுப்பினர்களும் தமது வாதத்தை முன்வைப்பதற்கான சூழ்நிலையை உருவாக்கவேண்டுமென இந்திய அரசாங்கத்திடம் மரியாதையுடன் வேண்டிக் கொள்கிறோம்.

அத்தோடு எந்தத் தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள் இயக்க உறுப்பினரும் தமது வாதத்தை முன்வைக்கவென வரும் பட்சத்தில் அவர்கள் சிறீலங்காவுக்கு மீள அனுப்பப்படலாம் அல்லது சட்டத்துக்குப் புறம்பான தண்டனையை அனுபவிக்கலாம் என்பது பற்றிய அச்சம் முற்றாகத் தவிர்க்கப்படும் வகையில் இந்திய அரசாங்கம் தம்மாலியன்ற அத்தனையையும் செய்ய வேண்டுமெனவும் உரத்துக் கூற விரும்புகின்றோம்.

'தேசங்களின் எல்லைகளைக் கடந்து உலகின் பல பாகங்களிலும் வாழும் ஈழத் தமிழ்ச் சமூகத்தினராகிய நாம் எமது சொந்த மண்ணில் நீதியோடிணைந்த விடுதலைக்காக மேற்கொண்டு வரும் போராட்டத்தின் இன்றைய முக்கியமான கட்டத்தில் இந்திய தேசத்திடமிருந்து நீதியையும் நேர்மையினையும் பெரிதும் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றோம' என்றார் பிரதமர் திரு. ருத்திரகுமாரன் அவர்கள்.
